My dad (in the picture) gave me the best Christmas present ever this year! The Nikon D80. The Nikon is now replacing the old and faithful Sony P200. The Sony is what started it all, if it hadn’t been for the little cyber-shot, I wouldn’t be into photography at all now. The Sony has amazing picture quality and fits the hand perfectly. It has enough megapixels for large prints, what’s more, it’s easy to bring along in your jacket pocket. It’s only fair to give it a decent send-off. It will surely remain my back-up camera, for times, when the dSLR is too heavy or bulky to bring along.
The Nikon D80 is the greatest camera! It continues to surprise me, be its ease of use or its super-fast speed. It does photos of superb quality, so the technical side of my shots is getting a sudden bump. The artistic side has to wait a while, though, because it isn’t easy getting used to the different type photographic instrument. The learning curve is steep and promises to be a long one, too. I hope my shots obtain a natural climb to the top, one photo at a time.
I must thank my dad for financial support, Lili and Anu for great delivery, and all you Zooomr guys, that guided me in the correct direction in buying the dSLR, and gave me motivation and inspiration with your comments and photos. Thank you.
Anyway, I’m now off to shooting and exploring again
..

Congratulations!!! That’s awesome. I can’t wait to see all the amazing photos you’re going to take. Best wishes!
